Creed did not do well at the Oscars on Sunday. Ryan Coogler’s film about the son of Apollo Creed only received one nomination, for Sylester Stallone’s supporting performance as an aging Rocky Balboa, and then lost that award in a surprise upset to Bridge of Spies‘ Mark Rylance. But Creed did receive a loving homage from Jimmy Kimmel on his post-Oscars show.

In a segment called “Clubber,” Kimmel and Tracy Morgan envisioned a movie centered on the son of another major Rocky opponent, Clubber Lang. The young Clubber (Morgan) seeks Rocky’s (Kimmel) help learning how to fight, so he can get revenge on the people who wronged him, like the trainer (J.K. Simmons) who kicked him out of a gym for eating a hoagie, and the Wendy’s cashier who wouldn’t give him extra honey mustard dipping sauce.

Like Michael B. Jordan’s Adonis, Morgan’s Clubber eventually reaches the level of a big fight. Except this one gets a little more surreal. His opponent is in fact his father (played by Mike Tyson rather than Mr. T) who proceeds to punch the young Clubber’s head straight off.
