Comedian Albert Brooks, Seth MacFarlane, and Bo Derek were among the stars who honored George Kennedy, who died Sunday at 91.

The imposing actor won a supporting actor Oscar for his turn as Dragline in 1967’s Cool Hand Luke. A versatile performer, Kennedy appeared on both comedies — he starred as Police Captain Ed Hocken in Naked Gun with Leslie Nielsen — and disaster dramas alike. (He acted in all four Airport films.)

Albert Brooks worked with Kennedy in Modern Romance, while Bo Derek and the late actor both appeared in 1984’s Bolero.
