Sophie Turner just accidentally dropped a big Game of Thrones spoiler on the Oscars red carpet.
While being interviewed on the E! News preshow Sunday night, she said…
Okay, we’re going to tell you what she said. But before we do, we’re going to strongly advise that you don’t actually read the rest of this story. Because what’s below is not going to make you happy. It’s not going to make watching season 6 more fun. In fact, it’s almost certainly going to have the opposite effect by zapping some of the show’s suspense. And for that reason, we normally don’t put any GoT spoilers on EW.com. But the normally tight-lipped Turner slipped and let this out right on the Oscars red carpet, it’s getting plenty of attention from major outlets, so we’re going to represent on this one and not, you know, act like we’re the spoiler police. So if you really want to know, okay, but you were warned…
Here it goes…
Sophie Turner revealed that Lady Stoneheart will resurrect Jon Snow as a vengeful white walker.
Kidding. That’s not it. But how did you feel after reading that? Were you kind of bummed to have found that out ahead of time? If so, stop reading, because this next paragraph has the actual spoiler.
Okay, this is the real thing: Turner strongly suggested Sansa Stark survives season 6. She described going through the scripts for the upcoming season of the HBO hit and seeing “death, death, death” and then discovering “okay, I’m good for this season.”
Previously, Turner teased at the EW SAG Awards party that her season is pretty significant. “I mean this season is a really, really big one for Sansa,” she said. “It’s probably her best season yet. It’s her really coming into her own. She, this season, really commands the respect that she deserves and she grabs hold of it and she runs with it and it’s really good.”
