Yoko Ono released from hospital, son Sean Lennon says
Yoko Ono is back home after being treated at a New York hospital for flu-related symptoms, her son said Saturday.
Sean Ono Lennon sent a message to fans on Twitter giving an update on his 83-year-old mother’s health.
“Thanks again for everyone’s concern. She’s home and running about as usual,” he wrote. “Just the flu in the end. I may go get a flu shot now…”
A representative for Ono also confirmed to EW that she is home from the hospital.
On Friday, Ono’s rep told PEOPLE the artist and activist had been suffering “extreme flu-like symptoms” and that “her doctor thought it would be a good idea to go to a local hospital to be checked out.”
Her publicist and son both refuted reports that Ono had suffered a stroke.
“Hey guys it was only rumors from press: was NOT a stroke, just dehydration/tired. She is FINE. Thank you everyone for your concern,” Lennon tweeted early Saturday morning. “She’s really fine. Thanks for all the well wishes!”
