Outlander: Sam Heughan, Caitriona Balfe emoji quiz

Outlander begins in 1945, then jumps back to 1743, and season 2 will feature even more timelines. But what if the show were set in the ’80s and ’90s?

Entertainment Weekly visited stars Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan for this week’s cover story to ask them some questions about what trends Claire and Jamie would like throughout the ages, including the emoji-laden present-day.

“She’d probably use the little sh– with the eyes,” Balfe says.
