AraabMuzik, born Abraham Orellana, was shot in New York City on Thursday night, according to his reps.

The hip-hop producer posted on Facebook on Friday night to thank fans, adding that he “will fully recover from this and continue to ROCK this planet!”

In a statement to EW, AraabMuzik’s reps say the artist is expected to fully recover from the incident.

“Last night, AraabMUZIK was shot in Harlem and the incident is currently under investigation by the NYPD,” the statement reads. “He is out of surgery and expected to make a full recovery. Out of respect for his privacy and legal issues around this matter, no further comments will be made at this time.”

Fellow music producer Swizz Beatz visited the 26-year-old producer in the hospital and relayed the message that AraabMuzik “would like everyone to know he is good and thx for the prayers.”

Beatz also shared an older photo of him and AraabMuzik, captioned: “#positivevibesonly.”

AraabMuzik was shot in 2013 during an attempted robbery — a case “of being in the wrong place at the wrong time,” according to his reps. He fully recovered.

Last year, he released two mixtapes: King and Goon Loops. His album, Dream World, is expected later this year.

The New York Daily News first reported the shooting.
