Looks like the adults are starting to do some shipping of their own on The 100.

While the “kids” (who are no longer kids, according to Abby) are off fighting a seemingly unwinnable war, Abby and Kane are left to whisper about the costs of their actions — and their potential feelings.

Bellamy is firmly in Pike’s grasp, and, as shown in the exclusive clip above, Kane is taking credit for that. “I demanded an election … and now we have Chancellor Pike.” You can read last week’s full episode recap here, but here are the basics: Pike is … controversial.

So while they wait for Bellamy to realize he’s not on the right side, for Octavia to evacuate the nearby village for when Pike decides to claim the land, for Clarke to work a miracle, or a combination of the three, Abby gives Kane a small peck on the cheek.

“Let’s call it hope,” she explains when he asks why she did it.

With a grounder army marching on Arkadia and a power-hungry chancellor leading the Arkers, they’re going to need a lot more “hope” than that.
