Ahead of their forthcoming album We Can Do Anything, Violent Femmes stopped The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Though they didn’t perform the hit “Blister in the Sun” on the show, the band played it in a web exclusive video where they were joined by a special guest: Colbert himself.

The host joined the band for a classic rendition of the 1983 classic, where drummer John Sparrow played on an apple barbecue.

We Can Do Anything is the band’s first album in 16 years, since 2000’s Freak Magnet. Last month, they released the first song off the collection, “Memory.” They’ll head out on tour this year and will begin the North American run in May. See all dates on their website.
