Lady Gaga stunned the Oscars last year with her Sound of Music tribute on the show’s 50th anniversary. Turns out the affection is felt both ways.
The cast of a U.K. production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s iconic musical put on a private show: The Sounds of Gaga. Cast members donned their Sound of Music garb but belted Gaga tunes.
It opens with Sister Maria running on stage to sing not of the hills, but “Paparazzi.” Teens in love Liesel and Rolf frolick to “The Edge of Glory.” And Captain von Trapp and Maria dance to a “LoveGame.” And their wedding march? A chorus of nuns sing “Bad Romance.”

The musical mashup has at least one high-profile fan: Gaga herself.
Gaga returns to the Oscars stage Sunday as a performer and as a first-time nominee. She’ll sing her track from The Hunting Ground, “Til It Happens to You,” which is up for Best Original Song.
