No one thing epitomized the appeal of the Baywatch television series more than the sight of Pamela Anderson in a red swimsuit. So it goes without saying that the new Baywatch movie, starring Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron, might seek to incorporate the original C.J. Parker.

They’ve asked, according to Anderson, but she’s still playing hard to get. “I haven’t turned it down completely yet, but I have turned down what they offered me,” the 48-year-old actress told ET Canada. “We’ll see what happens.”

Baywatch was such a huge part of my life,” Anderson said. “And really they’re trying to do an homage. It’s an honor to have them want me to be a part of it so bad.”

This time around, Kelly Rohrbach will play C.J, so Anderson would conceivably appear in a different role. “I haven’t even read the script. I have no idea what it’s about,” the former Playboy model said. “They’ve mentioned some cute [ideas for me], but I don’t want to give it away.”

The Seth Gordon-directed reboot will hit theaters May 19, 2017. Priyanka Chopra, Ilfenesh Hadera, and Alexandra Daddario will also star in the film, which began production Monday.
