John Travolta is doing the dangerous work of fixing electrical grids in the new trailer for Life on the Line, a film that looks like Backdraft for electrical workers — a job the trailer calls “the fourth most dangerous occupation in the the world.”

Travolta plays Beau, an experienced lineman devoted to his orphaned niece, Bailey (Kate Bosworth), whom he raised following the work-related death of his brother. Those two parts of his life collide when Bailey’s boyfriend (Devon Sawa) joins Beau’s linemen crew on the eve of a massive storm.

Life on the Line, also starring Sharon Stone, premiered at the Napa Valley Film Festival last November. It does not yet have a theatrical release date — so they have time to correct the spelling of Kate “Boseworth” — but it appears Voltage Pictures plans to release the film sometime this year.
