Nicholas Hoult will do anything to get ahead in Kill Your Friends.

A new trailer for the satirical film arrived Monday, spotlighting the late-’90s Britpop scene and those trying to make it big on the business side. Hoult plays an ambitious A&R man named Steven Stelfox. Threatened with precarious job security, he’s determined to land a big act to keep the drug-filled adventure of a career going.

The movie is based on John Niven’s 2008 book of the same name and has drawn comparisons to Bret Easton Ellis’ American Psycho; the new Kill Your Friends trailer offers some similarities to Christian Bale’s turn in Psycho.
