British R&B experimentalist FKA twigs (born Tahliah Barnett) is back, after a delightfully short hiatus. The singer released a new single, “Good To Love,” Thursday along with an intimate, self-directed video.

Last August, she put out the excellent mixtape M3LLI55X, which followed her also excellent 2014 debut LP1. twigs is a trained dancer who pairs her music with movement, so it’s no surprise that her new song would arrive with a fully-formed visual. The song itself meditates on her inclination to be alone in the face of the inevitable pain of love and doubles as a pep talk for relationships.

“When you give yourself away it always hurts too much / So you pray to get it back,” she sings over an sparse background. Whether the song is off a future album or another mixtape, has not yet been announced. The track will be available via digital retailers and streaming partners at midnight. Check the tune out below.
