From werewolf to vampire hunter: True Blood actress Kelly Overton has been cast as the lead in Syfy’s new series Van Helsing.
The new 13-episode reimagining centers on Vanessa Helsing, a descendent of the Van Helsing lineage of warriors who must lead mankind in the vampire-ruled post-Rising world.
Overton played werewolf RIkki Naylor in True Blood and has recently appeared in Legends and Beauty and the Beast. The show will also star Jonathan Scarfe, Christopher Heyerdahl, Paul Johansson, David Cubitt, and Tim Guinee.
