[SPOILER ALERT: Read on only if you have already watched Wednesday’s premiere of Survivor: Kaôh Rōng.]

Survivor: Kaôh Rōng began with people bragging about how awesome they were, folks chasing chickens off of a boat, and two contestants enduring major hardship in what host Jeff Probst is billing as “the most grueling 39 days in Survivor history.” When all was said and done, nobody was medically evacuated, but the show did claim its first victim when Darnell Hamilton was voted out by the Brawn tribe.

But there were scary incidents at two different camps before that. On the Brawn beach, Jennifer had to deal with a bug that crawled inside her ear, causing her excruciating intermittent pain, while over at the Brains tribe, Aubry fell victim to what may have been dehydration, a panic attack, or both. The two recovered; however, if the previews for the season are indication, not everyone will be so lucky.

In other news, immediate fan-favorite Tai got a little too aggressive looking for a hidden immunity idol, Debbie talked a lot about Debbie and all the things that Debbie knows how to do, Caleb proved he may actually have some game outside of the Big Brother house after all, and Anna told us this about herself: “If I feel like a male is staring at my boobs, I might push ‘em up a little more.” Anna, ladies and gentlemen!

After Brawn lost the challenge, the tribe split the vote between Darnell and the not-very-Brawn-like Alecia to protect against any hidden immunity idols, and then voted out Darnell on the re-vote. He becomes the latest recipient of the Sonja Christopher Golden Ukulele Award for being the first person voted out. Not an award anyone hopes to win on this show.
