Things are shaking up on the Dancing with the Stars judges’ panel.
Julianne Hough — who served as a judge on seasons 20 and 21 — will not be returning to the panel for the next season of the reality dance competition.
“I will miss being on the panel for Season 22, but have a lot of exciting stuff coming that I look forward to sharing,” the former DWTS champion, 27, tells PEOPLE exclusively. “The pro dancers, producers and crew at DWTS will always be my family.”
Instead, judges Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tolioni will once again be joined by Len Goodman, who took last season off because of other filming commitments.
But this latest news doesn’t mean DWTS fans have to say goodbye to Hough completely.
“Julianne will always be a part of the Dancing with the Stars family and we hope to see her back in the ballroom in the future,” producer Rob Wade tells PEOPLE.
And it sounds like the feeling is mutual.
“I promise it’s not the last you’ll see of me in the ballroom,” says Hough.
Season 22 of Dancing with the Stars is slated to premiere March 21 on ABC.
