The 12-episode reboot, 24: Legacy, centers on Carter and his troubled return to the U.S. He seeks aid from the Counter Terrorist Unit, in turn helping to thwart what could potentially be one of the largest-scale terrorist attacks on U.S. soil. The series is written by 24 alums Manny Coto and Evan Katz and directed by Stephen Hopkins, who helmed the intial pilot. Original producer Howard Gordon will also return.
Diop previously starred in The Messengers as Rose, a tenacious, formerly comatose nurse credited with assembling the Angels of the Apocalypse. She’s also appeared in episodes of Quantico, Touch, Everybody Hates Chris, and the upcoming OWN drama Greenleaf.
