Ryan Reynolds might be headed to Mars.

The Deadpool star is in negotiations for Life at Skydance Productions, according to the production company’s website. When a deal closes, Reynolds will star opposite Mission: Impossible — Rogue Nation breakout Rebecca Ferguson. Life would reunite Reynolds and Deadpool writers Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese, who also penned the script for the Mars movie.

Daniel Espinosa is directing the film, which details a Mars mission that finds alien life in space. Espinosa and Reynolds worked together in 2012’s action thriller Safe House, also starring Denzel Washington.
