PICK OF THE NIGHT

The 58th Annual Grammy Awards

CBS, 8 p.m.

What’s this? The Grammys on a Monday? That just doesn’t feel right. But to make up for any lingering weirdness, the music gods have planned quite the show: Performances by Taylor Swift, Adele, Kendrick Lamar, the cast of Hamilton, Rihanna, and more names that will certainly impress you. As for me, I’m looking forward to what could be the ceremony’s emotional centerpiece: an extended tribute to the late David Bowie. Lady Gaga will perform a few songs in honor of one of the greatest musicians of all time — no pressure, Ms. Germanotta.

GOING BACK TO CALI, CALI

The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon

NBC, 11:35 p.m.

The young among you may not remember this, but once upon a time — like, three years ago! — The Tonight Show took place in Los Angeles. This week, host Jimmy Fallon brings the party back to California for five celebrity-filled nights. Among his guests will be Will Ferrell (tonight), Jennifer Lopez and Zayn Malik (Wednesday), Bryan Cranston and the Weeknd (Friday), and some special yet-to-be-announced stars. But perhaps the real question is, what silly and/or embarrassing things will Fallon make these people do? It’s early to say, but we’re rooting for an epic, Internet-exploding J. Lo vs. Zayn lip-sync battle. A late-night fan can dream, right?

YOU USED TO CALL ME ON MY SAUL PHONE

Better Call Saul

AMC, 10 p.m.

It’s been far too long since we’ve seen Bob Odenkirk slip into his sleazy-yet-endearing Saul Goodman costume. The wait ends today, and you can find out even more about it by reading Dan Snierson’s interview with Odenkirk himself. It includes one of our favorite Odenkirk quotes in a while: “You can’t put a shark in a hippie suit.” AMC, it’s up to you to put that on a bumper sticker.

DOGGY DAY CARE

The 140th Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show

CNBC, 8 p.m.

An annual contest for all the canines that weren’t good enough to make it into the Puppy Bowl.
