Paul Rudd and Steve Coogan, who previously shared the screen in Night at the Museum (2006) and My Idiot Brother (2011), will star in the drama-comedy An Ideal Home as a bickering gay couple who get the surprise of their lives.

According to a press release, Coogan will play Erasmus (Coogan), described as “a demanding, popular celebrity,” while Rudd plays his more hesitant counterpart, Paul. Their lives change when they take in Bill, the grandson Erasmus never knew he had, after he shows up at the couple’s high-class dinner party with nowhere else to go.

Andrew Fleming (The Craft) will direct the film from a script he wrote. Gabriella Tana, Maria Theresa Arida, Maxime Remillard and Aaron Ryder will produce, while Clark Peterson and Lisa Wolofsky executive produce.

Nadine De Barros of Fortitude International, which is handling the sale of An Ideal Home at the European Film Market, called the script “endearing and hilarious.” She continued, “We are delighted to present this charming film to buyers at EFM.”

After starring in and co-writing Marvel’s Ant-Man, Rudd will next reprise the shrinking superhero in Captain America: Civil War. Coogan, meanwhile, recently signed on for a Laurel & Hardy biopic with John C. Reilly and The Dinner with Richard Gere and Laura Linney.
