Mother's Day trailer is the mother lode of Garry Marshall concoctions
It’s been far too long since a feel-good ensemble comedy has come along to keep the masses entertained with light-hearted, intertwining stories spread out across a variety of A-listers. (For the last endeavor, simply look up New Year’s Eve — or, for a more comprehensive look, Google Hector Elizondo.)
Mother’s Day is the latest production from director Garry Marshall, and the film’s brand new trailer includes, among other things, a glimpse at all the troubles of modern moms — and their wigs.
The director has enlisted his Pretty Woman muse Julia Roberts to co-star as a successful (and arguably unaware-of-her-offspring) TV host alongside a starry cast that includes Jennifer Aniston (as a put-upon mom), Kate Hudson (as a put-upon mom), Jason Sudeikis (as a put-upon father-cum-mother figure), and Britt Robertson (as a girl looking for her mom).
The film also includes Sarah Chalke, Timothy Olyphant, Shay Mitchell, Jon Lovitz, and Margo Martindale (as a mom on a bus).
Mother’s Day is scheduled for release on April 29.
