Larry David is known more for his observational, dry sense of humor, but he showed off his silly side when preparing for one of the sketches he appeared in while hosting Saturday Night Live. In a video posted to the series’ YouTube account, David is seen cracking up as he tries to get out the ridiculous lines he has to deliver as the bizarre, neon-suited, shouting character Kevin Roberts.

In the sketch, which you can see below, David plays an eccentric animatronic man in an FBI shooting simulation that confuses the trigger finger of a trainee officer played by Kenan Thompson. Clearly, it took David a lot of practice to get through shouting hilariously strange catchphrases like, “Kevin Roberts just got to second base with a lady!” and “Can a bitch get a donut!?” without breaking.
