Wrongful conviction might just be the hottest new TV trend.

EW has confirmed that Agent Carter star Hayley Atwell has been cast as the lead in Conviction, an upcoming ABC pilot. Atwell is on board to play the daughter of a political family who heads up Los Angeles’ Conviction Integrity Unit. So basically, her job is to look into cases where people might have been wrongfully convicted of committing a crime. (No word yet on whether she’ll come across Steven Avery’s name in a file.)
