Taye Diggs will guest-star on NCIS‘ 300th episode, where he’ll play a Marine suffering from PTSD, CBS announced Monday.

Davis’ character, Gunnery Sergeant Aaron Davis, is going through a music therapy program in a rehab facility after suffering traumatic injuries during an ambush attack in Iraq — one that Gibbs (Mark Harmon) wants him to recount his memories of in an attempt to solve a murder.

“For our 300th episode, we needed a guest actor who could proudly portray one of our nation’s wounded warriors as well as participate in a very touching musical performance,” NCIS executive producer Gary Glasberg said in a statement. “This emotionally charged role is tailor-made for Taye Diggs, and we are so thrilled and honored to have him join us.”

The episode will air March 15.
