Razors: transform and roll out!

That seems to be Schick’s latest directive for its Super Bowl 50 ad, which featured a pair of razors transforming from mild-mannered, everyday grooming products into Transformers-esque robots. (The lack of cities being destroyed or Shia LaBeouf yelling “Bumblebee!” indicate this is not in fact an official Transformers tie-in.)

The two razors do battle, making a bathroom sink as epic a locale as it’s ever been, and the new Schick Hydro makes quick work of the old, less shiny razor, proving how much sturdier the new model is, even in the face of water. Or at least, how sturdy it is in battle, as the razor sadly does not prove its shaving merit in the course of combat.

Check out the new commercial above, which, if successful enough, will hopefully be all the greenlight Michael Bay needs for a Household Transformers spin-off movie.
