Gilmore Girls Netflix revival series: Liza Weil confirms return as Paris Geller
Paris Geller is officially returning to Stars Hollow.
In an interview with E! News, Liza Weil confirmed that she’ll be reprising her role in the upcoming Netflix revival of Gilmore Girls.
“I start on Tuesday, which I really feel like bodes well that I get to start on a Tuesday being that we used to be on a Tuesday,” Weil told E! at the aTVfest in Atlanta this weekend. “Tuesday is my first day and I’m nervous!”
Previously, returning cast member Kelly Bishop (who plays Emily Gilmore) said in an interview that showrunner Amy Sherman Palladino had written the return of Paris, but Weil’s involvement hadn’t officially been confirmed until now.
Weil added that she’ll only be in two of the four revival episodes (each one is set in a different season over the course of one year), and she’s only read the scripts for her two episodes.

“It’s very emotional to read them,” the How To Get Away With Murder star said. “It’s like a really magical perfect time machine. I’m very happy to be a part of it.”
Paris is only one of multiple Stars Hollow residents who are confirmed to be returning for the revival. Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel are on board, as are Scott Patterson (Luke), Sean Gunn (Kirk), Yanic Truesdale (Michel), and Keiko Agena (Lane).
“It was like I didn’t realize how much I missed her,” Weil said about reprising her role as Paris. “It was nice to sort of see an old friend.”
