Kanye West, in his own words, pulled off an act of #trollingstone.

Earlier Wednesday, the artist tweeted a faux Rolling Stone magazine cover featuring Ye, photographed by rapper Tyler the Creator, and the curious caption, “Does he like mustard?”

Rolling Stone was quick to respond and dispel any confusion, writing, “While we love Kanye, and have many mustard-related questions for him, this is not an actual cover of Rolling Stone.”

West shot back, “I bet you this still becomes the cover though… Let’s do another poll.”

As of this posting, 53 percent of voters agreed that West should grace the cover, and 47 percent voted “No.” One ardent supporter? Tyler the Creator.

And, of course, West’s wife and TV personality Kim Kardashian West, advocated for the Kanye cover.

West has appeared on Rolling Stone a handful of times, including his controversial 2006 cover, which saw the rapper don a crown of thorns. (He also appeared on the cover of Entertainment Weekly the same year.)

Waves, West’s seventh studio album, premieres Feb. 11 at Madison Square Garden.
