The cast of the acclaimed musical Hamilton will perform during the Grammys February 15. The broadcast will feature the Broadway smash hit’s opening number, performed in Richard Rogers Theater, their New York stage. Despite the theater district usually being dark on Monday nights, a live audience will pack the venue. This is the first time a Broadway performance will be broadcast via satellite.

“We’ve never done any live performances in front of a televised audience,” Hamilton’s producer Jeffrey Seller tells USA Today. “It’s always been important for us to perform in context. Once (Grammy executives) said, ‘We’ll come to you,’ we knew it would work.”

Hamilton is nominated for best original cast recording and joins previously announced performers Adele, Sam Hunt, Carrie Underwood, The Weeknd, Kendrick Lamar, Little Big Town. Lady Gaga will perform a David Bowie tribute.
