See the trailer for Emilia Clarke and Sam Claflin romance Me Before You
Many people struggle to find the right job, and Esquire‘s Sexiest Woman Alive 2015, Emilia Clarke, is no different. After failing as a beautician and chicken factory worker in Me Before You, Louisa (Clarke) lands a position as a caregiver to a disabled man named Will (Sam Claflin).
In the new trailer for the film, Will and Louisa struggle to get along at first — he even rags on her heels, a huge turn-off for any woman — before the two inevitably fall for each other.
The twist: Before meeting Louisa, Will told his parents he’d hold out for six months before pulling his own plug. Despite not wanting his caretaker-turned-lover to miss out on certain aspects of life she might compromise by romancing a paralyzed man, he admits to Louisa that she is “pretty much the only thing that makes me want to get up in the morning.”
See their relationship evolve (and prepare to fight back tears) in the trailer, above.
Based on Jojo Moyes’ novel by the same name, Me Before You opens in theaters June 3.
