Titanic: Kate Winslet also thinks Rose let Jack die
Kate Winslet stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live on Monday to talk about touching Susan Sarandon’s chest and try to remember the names of characters she’s played on screen, but Kimmel made sure that he took the opportunity to call her out about a scene that’s bothered moviegoers for nearly 20 years: Rose definitely left Jack to die at the end of Titanic.
“I agree!” Winslet said. “I think he could have actually fitted on that bit of door.”
Winslet also talked about reuniting with Leonardo DiCaprio at the SAG Awards on Saturday — and that hug that spawned a thousand “Never let go” jokes.

“People are always so excited to see Leo and myself in the same space, which, you know, at the end of the day, that’s so lovely, isn’t it?” Winslet told Kimmel. “It’s been 20 years, and people still get such a kick out of it. It’s really quite endearing. And we do laugh about it. We were giggling about it last night. I was like, my god, can you actually believe that people just get so overwhelmed by the Jack and Rose thing.”
