Kim Kardashian's Twitter poll drew more voters than Iowa's GOP caucus
The results are in for the most exciting election of the week: Kim Kardashian’s Twitter poll asking fans to pick their favorite title of Kanye West’s forthcoming album.
Kardashian’s poll closed Tuesday, and with more than 400,000 votes, the number of people who voted was more than twice as high than the voter turnout for the GOP primary presidential candidacy race in Iowa, which saw a record-high of 185,000 party voters, according to reports from The Washington Post.
Kardashian tweeted her poll after West had changed its name from So Help Me God to SWISH to Waves. (Forty-six percent of fans chose So Help Me God.) Her tweet also followed West’s Twitter fight with rapper Wiz Khalifa, who he called out after assuming Khalifa had tweeted about Kardashian. The two have since made up.
Waves is due out Feb. 11 and West will premiere the collection at Madison Square Garden, where he’ll broadcast the special event to theaters around the world.
