Peter Quill, Gamora, Drax, Rocket, and Groot will soon be back together again.
The Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 team is hard at work in Atlanta, and the cast and crew have been sharing some behind-the-scenes photos from the upcoming sequel.
Director James Gunn posted a few photos on Instagram of Zoe Saldana, Chris Pratt, David Bautista, and Sean Gunn rehearsing together, as well as one of the two Gunn brothers with Michael Rooker, who plays the smuggler Yondu. (Sean Gunn plays Yondu’s crew mate Kraglin and also serves as the on-set actor for Rocket, who’s voiced by Bradley Cooper.)
Saldana and Pratt also shared some pics from the set, with Saldana tweeting a photo of the green-skinned Gamora and writing, “It’s officially ‘face and body art day’ for the next 5 months.” As for Star-Lord himself? Pratt just posted a photo of Quill’s Walkman, complete with a copy of “Awesome Mix Vol. 2.”
“Feels good to be back in action on Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2!!!” Pratt wrote. “I can’t even tell you how excited I am. Ok I’ll try. I’m ecstatic. I’m bursting with joy. I’m overwhelmed by feelings of enthusiasm, joy, gratitude, conviviality, camaraderie, elation, exhilaration. I just used an online thesaurus thesaurus for these words. I suggest trying that.”
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is set to hit theaters on May 5, 2017.
