Tweet was the word on Sunday night. As Fox aired its raucous, awe-inspiring live take on Grease — aptly titled Grease: Live! — Twitter was abuzz with praise and jokes, and many celebrities joined in on the fun.

East Coast viewers were able to watch along with Hamilton creator and star Lin-Manuel Miranda, who showed his support for Grease: Live! and Hamilton director Thomas Kail throughout the night (and mixed in some Hamilton jokes too).

Also participating in the live-viewing experience on the East Coast was Chrissy Teigen, Billy Eichner, Beth Behrs, and Andy Cohen.

During the West Coast airing, Twitter pro Anna Kendrick took over live-tweeting duties for Team Celebrity, posting about the production and her… love for the cast.

Other stars checking in during the broadcast from Los Angeles included Kendrick’s Pitch Perfect costars Rebel Wilson and Elizabeth Banks, Josh Gad, Neil Patrick Harris, and more.

But despite the great reviews, not everyone was happy with the East Coast-West Coast Grease: Live! Twitter storm.
