Even the undead have a taste for the classics!

The stars of the upcoming Pride and Prejudice and Zombies film were flanked by some very creepy cold bodies during a special screening of the film at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood over the weekend.

While Lily James, Matt Smith, Bella Heathcote, and Douglas Booth were dressed to the nines for the special event, the large group of attendees helped secure a world record by donning period clothing and gruesome makeup.

Together, the cast and fans broke the record for the most zombies reading Jane Austen at one time — the source text for the reimagined film.

Packing the iconic theater, the cast and audience members posed for several pictures while clutching copies of Austen’s 1813 novel. The Pride and Prejudice and Zombies stars awarded a prize for the most ghastly look, and makeup artists were on hand to make sure everyone looked positively carnivorous.

The film, based on Seth Grahame-Smith’s novel of the same name, resets Austen’s tale in the middle of a zombie apocalypse — with all the memorable romance still intact.

Heroine Elizabeth Bennett must use her martial arts and weaponry skills to aid Mr. Darcy in stopping the plagued zombies from taking over 19th-century England.

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies hits theaters Feb. 5.
