Steven Tyler stopped by the Late Show With Stephen Colbert on Friday, where he brought along a gift for Stephen Colbert to help spread the word about his new charitable organization, Janie’s Fund, which helps victims of child abuse.

Tyler explained that, in an effort to make more people aware of Janie’s Fund (which takes its name and inspiration from the Aerosmith hit “Janie’s Got a Gun”) he’s sent his signature scarf-wrapped microphone stands to fellow music stars like Bono and Elton John. He also brought one for Colbert, and proceeded to teach the late-night host the proper technique for working it.

“This is my girlfriend that I live vicariously through on stage,” he told Colbert.

Tyler then displayed some hand-to-hand tosses, a heel spin, and a dip set to “Dude (Looks Like a Lady).”

Watch Colbert put his lessons to the test with a little “Dream On” in the video above.
