Second Chance is getting a second chance — this time on Fridays.

After airing two episodes on Wednesdays behind American Idol, Fox is moving the Frankenstein-inspired drama to a Friday slot at 9 p.m. ET, beginning next week.

The Jan. 29 episode of Second Chance will follow the season finale of MasterChef Junior, and beginning Feb. 5 it will follow Sleepy Hollow, a fellow genre-inflected drama that could provide a more compatible audience.

The cooking competition Hell’s Kitchen will fill the post-Idol Wednesday slot, making for an evening of reality TV.

Starring Rob Kazinsky as a corrupt cop who’s been killed, resurrected, and given a new lease on life, Second Chance debuted to a 1.2 rating (live plus same-day) among viewers 18-49 and fell about 17 percent in its second week.
