They say there’s no honor among thieves, and unfortunately for Vince Vaughn in the new trailer for Term Life, there’s no dawdling either.

Vaughn stars in the action-comedy as Nick Barrow, a heist man whose latest job goes very awry, putting him in the crosshairs of crooked cops and a drug kingpin. In a last-ditch effort to leave something behind for his estranged daughter (Hailee Steinfeld), he takes out a $1 million life insurance policy — but he has to survive 21 days for it to kick in.

Audiences who were put off by Vaughn’s morose turn in season 2 of True Detective may be relieved to see that the actor is up to his old quips again, sparring like a concerned dad with Steinfeld between moments dodging gangster gunfire. Vaughn’s good buddy Jon Favreau (Swingers, Made) shows up too, along with Bill Paxton, Jonathan Banks, Mike Epps, and Terrence Howard.

As for the elephant in the room, yes, someone does acknowledge Nick’s goofy haircut. Watch the trailer above to find out who.

Focus World will release Term Life in theaters, VOD, and iTunes on April 29.
