Tyler Perry’s tough-talking Madea character will be fighting off zombies for her next big-screen adventure.

Perry and Lionsgate announced Tuesday that production has begun in Atlanta on the aptly named Boo! A Madea Halloween. The multi-hyphenate Perry will once again play the titular character, who according to the press release, “winds up in the middle of mayhem when she spends a hilarious, haunted Halloween fending off killers, paranormal poltergeists, ghosts, ghouls, and zombies while keeping a watchful eye on a group of misbehaving teens.”

The announcement notes that the film originated from Perry and Chris Rock including a fictitious Madea Halloween movie in Rock’s 2014 film Top Five. Lionsgate then approached Perry and suggested that they make the movie.

Written, directed and produced by Perry, Boo! A Madea Halloween hits theaters on Oct. 21, 2016.
