Deadpool: Ryan Reynolds hangs on for dear life in TV spot
Fox released a new Deadpool TV spot during the NFL playoffs on Saturday, and it’s description of “now with ~5% new footage” is no joke.
While most of the spot has been seen before, there is, well, about 5 percent new material, which comes towards the end. We’ve seen Ryan Reynolds‘ merc with the mouth fighting with Ed Skrein’s Ajax, and one battle looks to be on a massive tanker. When that tips over, our deranged Deadpool better have a firm grip.
Update: Another Deadpool spot has hit the airwaves featuring, yes, about 5 percent more new footage.
Reynolds and Skrein are joined by Gina Carano, Morena Baccarin, T.J. Miller, and Brianna Hildebrand. Deadpool sees the origin of Wade Wilson, an ex Special Forces operative who undergoes surgery that leaves him with accelerated healing. Now scarred both physically and mentally, the anti-hero is out for revenge against those who did this to him.
Deadpool will hit theaters on Feb. 12.
