NBA on TNT to have special Martin Luther King Jr. Day broadcast
TNT is making its Martin Luther King Jr. Day broadcast one to remember.
The network announced it will host its Monday pre-game show at the Martin Luther King Jr. Center for Nonviolent Social Change in Atlanta.
NBA on TNT show will also feature host Ernie Johnson, and analysts Charles Barkley, Shaquille O’Neal and Kenny Smith speaking live with King’s daughter Dr. Bernice King. Taped interviews with Martin Luther King III and NBA Hall of Famer and TIME columnist Kareem Abdul-Jabbar will also be shown in the hour-long broadcast, in addition to other activists and politicians.

After the pre-game show is a compelling hoops double-header. First, an NBA Finals rematch with LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers hosting Steph Curry’s Golden State Warriors (8 p.m. ET), followed by Chris Paul and the Los Angeles Clippers taking on James Harden’s Houston Rockets (10:30 p.m. ET).
The pre-game show airs Monday at 7 p.m. ET on TNT.
