So far in its second season, Star Wars: Rebels has made a point of bringing in recognizable characters from the original movies to face off against its young crew. The season opened with Darth Vader’s grand entrance, while Yoda and even Grand Moff Tarkin have also stopped by the rebels’ base on the planet Lothal. Now, Princess Leia Organa will appear in the show’s Jan. 20 episode, “A Princess on Lothal,” Disney XD announced Monday.

Unlike Darth Vader and Yoda, Leia will not be voiced by her original actor. Julie Dolan will voice the character’s animated appearance in lieu of Carrie Fisher. Dolan previously voiced Leia in the videogame Star Wars: Uprising.

That’s not the only way Rebels’ version of Leia is different. In these early days of the Rebel Alliance, the princess of Alderaan is still technically part of the Empire.

“She doesn’t believe in the Empire, but she is acting the part, almost as a double agent,” executive producer Dave Filioni said in a statement. “The Empire sees her as a privileged princess who runs mercy missions to wayward worlds, but in truth she is much stronger and more dangerous than they imagine.”

“A Princess on Lothal” airs Jan. 20 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Disney XD.
