Grease Live: Vanessa Hudgens' bad-girl style broken down by costume designer
“It’s attitude, waist, strut.”
Those are the three words Grease: Live costume designer William Ivey Long kept in mind when crafting the look for Rydell High’s resident bad girl, Rizzo. In an exclusive first look from Fox, Long explains how he styled Vanessa Hudgens to take on the iconic role.

Of course, as the leader of the Pink Ladies, Long first notes that Hudgens had to get the collar pop down just right to convey all of the attitude. The other notable character trait harkens back to ’50s style: an impossibly cinched waist. “I can’t believe she can breathe and sing,” Long said.
