Once Upon a Time casts Gaston, again
Here in town there’s only he, who is beautiful as the other he.
The role of Gaston has been cast — again — on ABC’s Once Upon a Time. Previously played by Sage Brocklebank in a brief appearance in the first season, the role of Belle’s (Emilie de Ravin) undesired suitor will now be filled by Wes Brown, EW has confirmed.
Brown — an alum of True Blood, Deception, 90210 and Hart of Dixie — will appear in a flashback episode chronicling an ostensibly sexier, more chiseled slice of Belle’s life. In his first and only appearance in season 1, Gaston was introduced as Belle’s fiancé, where he valiantly tried to win her back from Rumplestiltskin but was tragically transformed into a rose, as is the way these things tend to go.
The midseason premiere of Once Upon a Time debuts on March 6 on ABC.
