If the power of Ryan Gosling wasn’t enough to teach the world how to say Saoirse Ronan’s name correctly, maybe the power of Ellen will.

The Brooklyn star stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show for Wednesday’s episode, where the host presented her with an over-the-shoulder sign that says, “Hello, my name is SUR-SHA.”

Ronan’s gift also doubles as an awards season survival kit: It has pockets that DeGeneres filled with a champagne bottle and snacks for the red carpet.

The 21-year-old Irish actress recently praised Gosling for explaining that her name is pronounced “like inertia.”

“Someone sent me a photo two weeks later of a cinema in Minnesota, and on the sign in the front it said ‘Brooklyn‘ and then underneath it said, ‘Ser-sha, Like Inertia,”’ she told PEOPLE at the Palm Springs Film Festival this past weekend. “I couldn’t believe it! They actually put it on the front of the cinema, so the power of Ryan Gosling is stronger than anything else.”

Ronan is a nominee for best actress at this Sunday’s Golden Globes and also the upcoming SAG Awards. With awards season now officially in full swing (and Oscar nominations being announced next week), the “Saoirse 101” couldn’t have come at a better time.
