Donald Trump is feuding with so many people these days, it’s difficult even for his opponents to keep track. Samuel L. Jackson, for example, claimed to not know he and Trump had “beef” until his Tuesday night appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers.

Host Seth Meyers brought the actor’s attention to a recent Trump tweet, where the outspoken candidate claimed he didn’t know Jackson personally after Jackson said the pair had played golf together.

“I don’t know Samuel L. Jackson, to best of my knowledge haven’t played golf w/him & think he does too many TV commercials — boring. Not a fan,” Trump wrote.

On Tuesday’s Late NIght,Jackson countered that he’s met Trump “a lot,” and even re-enacted a typical call he would receive from the current Republican presidential forerunner: “Samuel L? The Don.” “Who?” “The Don.” “Oh, Mr. Trump.”

“I actually played with him and Anthony Anderson one day, and we clearly saw him hook a ball into a lake at Trump National in Jersey,” Jackson said of his golf outings with Trump. Jackson’s story was later verified by Anderson on Twitter. The Blackish star wrote that he, Jackson, and Trump “also had lunch together! Shrimp and hot dogs. Sound familiar?”

Jackson also told Meyers a story in which Trump invited The Hateful Eight star and Bill Clinton to go golfing together. (Jackson said Trump did not play in that round.)

“If we can prove Trump is lying when he says he doesn’t know you, this might be the thing that finally brings down his campaign,” Meyers joked.
