Get ready to return to the Unknown, as one of the Cartoon Network’s most beloved miniseries is getting its own comic ongoing. EW can exclusively reveal that this April, KaBOOM!, an imprint of BOOM! Studios, will debut Over The Garden Wall written by Jim Campbell (Star Wars, The Krachmacher), and show writer Amalia Levari, with art by Campbell and Cara McGee.

KaBOOM! originally published a one-shot when the series from Pat McHale premiered last November to critical acclaim. A four-issue miniseries followed, which focused on stories set between episodes of the show that McHale could not fit into the original 10-episode run.

Each issue of the ongoing will contain two original stories. The first issue will explore the early days of the Unknown through Anna, the daughter of a Woodsman who is learning how to survive in the woods by herself. It also finds Wirt and Greg having escaped the Unknown, but that doesn’t mean they’ve forgotten their experiences — and at night, Greg returns to Dreamland for more adventures.
