President Barack Obama is currently on vacation in Hawaii with his family, and he’s brought some books along for the trip.

The White House has released the president’s reading list for the annual two-week trip. The four-book list includes Jonathan Franzen’s latest novel, Purity — which, The Washington Post notes, Obama purchased in November at a Washington bookstore.

Two other novels made the list — crime novel The Whites, by Richard Price, and the sci-fi story The Three-Body Problem by Chinese author Liu Cixin (which will be released in English in the U.S. on Jan. 12) — along with a non-fiction selection: The Wright Brothers, by David McCollough.

Back in August, the White House released the president’s summer reading list, which included Ron Chernow’s Washington: A Life and Anthony Doerr’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel All the Light We Cannot See. Head here to see that full list.
