Courtney Love took to social media on Christmas Day to remember Kurt Cobain, her late husband, and to express her love for their daughter, Frances Bean Cobain.

Posting a vintage photo to Instagram of herself, Cobain, and their then-infant daughter in holiday-appropriate pajamas, Love wrote in a caption, “Merry Christmas Kurt, the greatest true love I’ve ever experienced in my life.”

The singer and actress added, “You gave me the gift that makes life worth living, our incredibly talented, loving, beautiful and gifted daughter Frances Bean Cobain. Merry Christmas Bean, love mom and dad.”

Cobain, frontman of the influential grunge-rock band Nirvana, committed suicide in 1994. His musical legacy was brought back into the spotlight earlier this year by the documentary and companion album Montage of Heck, which Love and Frances Bean Cobain co-produced.
