Chloe Grace Moretz is still “Alive” despite the ensuing alien invasion in The 5th Wave. It’s no thanks to Sia, but the singer’s song nicely complements the latest movie teaser filled with post-apocalyptic turmoil.

“Alive” seems like an appropriate track for the new footage. Sia sings, “I’m still breathing, I’m alive,” and that’s exactly all Moretz’s Cassie can do as she avoids alien agents in an attempt to rescue her brother.

Based on the novel by Rick Yancey, The 5th Wave sees our planet at the tail end of an alien invasion. After four previous waves, the fifth sees beings that only look like humans killing anyone they find. In the midst of it all is Cassie, a girl who’s trying to find her brother, and she meets a boy, Evan, who might be able to help her do that.

In addition to the latest teaser, Sony released a clip from the film and a new featurette. Titled “Human,” the scene sees an interaction between Cassie and Evan after he apparently saved her from some sort of attack.

The featurette, meanwhile, spotlights the process of translating this story from book to screen.

The 5th Wave will commence in theaters on Jan. 15.
