Over the summer, British bookmakers suspended betting on who would record the theme for James Bond’s latest big screen outing, Spectre, after one customer tried to place a £15,000 bet on Radiohead. Sam Smith’s “Writing’s on the Wall” ultimately became Spectre’s official theme, but Thom Yorke confirmed Friday on Twitter that Radiohead did indeed “write a tune” for the film.

“It didn’t work out … but became something of our own which we love very much ….” he added. “As the year closes we thought you might like to hear it. Merry Christmas. May the force be with you.”
